The Initiative

The Initiative is a 12 week, student driven studio experience designed to help you dive deep into your creative process and bring the art inside you to the surface.

Over the course of the program, you will create a cohesive collection of work rooted in self expression. The experience culminates in a public student show where you will get to share your creations with others.

This is not a traditional class. It is a mentorship experience where I walk alongside you, offering guidance, insight, and encouragement as you explore your artistic voice.

This program is open to all kinds of visual arts and is not limited to watercolor. Any medium that you can do around the table is encouraged!

Together, we will work through journal prompts, expressive exercises, and some breathwork with Initiative Alumni, Sarah Frauenzimer. There is a big focus on one on one conversations with me for direct mentorship.

We will also cover practical aspects of being an artist such as artist self care, material support, how to price and display your work.

It becomes a space to get vulnerable and dig into the inner world of your artistry. All in the safety of committed community and space.

The Initiative is everything I wish I had when I was first finding my footing as an artist. It is a space where growth, exploration, and community come together.

Please fill out the form below if you are interested in participating. I will read each one and reply within a few days with further steps.
